pretty damn cool
unelievable read.
he did alot of cool things, but really im not impressed with the power he expects out of it, the exhaust note didnt really get me either
i dont see the point of this. he could have started out with an e30, or jesus, even an e36 and had double (or triple) the money to build it with
i didnt read all the way through, but im assuming this is going to be a track only gutted caged car. why would you do that to an e46?
its not my money, and its his build, but im just saying… i would have picked up a clean e30 shell for $1500 and gone to town
that thread kinda made me mad to be honest
What’s the issue?
i knew alot of people had alot of spare time in altantic Canada… but i didnt know anyone had any money.
I guess he is some bigshot in an oil company overseas… at least thats the story I got.
I get the jist that money wasnt really an object on this build, just something he wanted to do.

I second that. That radiator looks fine to me…
I enjoyed the fact that it was a complete ground up build with an incredible attention to detail as well as amazingly deep pockets… lol.
That being said, I agree that it’s rather ridiculous.
I don’t see anything wrong with using an e46 shell, but he should have went with some ///M power.
14 hours later and i just finished reading it… what a neat build.
People that keep saying “he should have xxx” clearly missed the point.
This was a hobby for him. He did the build in a manner that entertained him. Sure, he could have gone out and bought a car that would be faster, but that wasn’t what he was going for.
Mounting to the fins. I think the vibration and pounding of racing will
open up those fins/holes over time. Does not look like a reliable way of mounting.
its the way i have scene everysingle after market fan installed including my own. the haden kit comes specificly to be installed that way. fans arent heay enough to do any kind of damage esp when there mounted in 4 points.
:picard:
Not a build I would do but still neat.
x2
some of you say why not put less money into an E36… I say thank god he didn’t spend the money on a stock Ferrari 360 or something gay like that.
building it is so much more impressive.
Hmm. I didnt know that. I pictured a fan with some heft bobbing side to side.
I guess with the fan weight low enough and the radiator thick enough this may be ok. Learned something new.
$10k just in fittings and line on that car…
i was disappointed that he kept the car looking 100% stock, i get it, but i dont love it.
simple aero package would set it off.
also, he says this thing is just an NA drag car yet he has Motons…?
