Reminds me of the 89/90 Fiero Prototype that never saw production.

It was supposed to be a DOHC V6 with over 200 HP. Rumor has it the Fiero was killed to because GM was afraid what it would do to their halo car, the Vette. Remember in 1990 the C4 was a pig making 250hp from the boat anchor L98 TPI V8.
I’m not sure I buy that theory but I have to admit comparing ^ that with this makes me wonder if it’s true.
Well, that Fiero Prototyped definitely lived on in the form of the F-Body Camaro…
