FWIW at this point, I did manage to track down the information for the V160 input shaft now
Toyota part number 33311-0W040. Lists for nearly the same price($250). I’m going to see if I can locate one a little cheaper. I might buy it anyway for R&D here for future endeavors with this car.
I can’t think of any other tuner in the northeast who has experience tuning GTRs, 9sec evos, 10 sec subarus, etc. Can you post links to said horror stories? I’m not trying to argue with you - I wanna see the dirt. He has a flawless reputation in the subaru world, owns an R33 GTR, and is the man for tuning R35s. But I am a bit of a fanboy after my free retune and 10 sec pass the following day.
herd from a few people i spoke with personally that after he tuned there evos they blowed up. i mean that goes with every tuner i guess, they all have a few under there belt.
i think dan from pruven tunes skylines. the BMX kid that has 2 goes to them. dont remember his name but i know he has 2 evos as well. one being about 800whp or so
After seeing the brigade of Skyline’s at IveyTune yesterday and talking to Sean he probably wouldn’t be a bad choice either:) Cossey has plenty of time to research and decide.
and he’s Jamacian which makes him twice as cool. I was talking to Sean about Cossey’s car and he was very familiar w/ that exact car. He was also saying he tunes a ton of Skylines and actually flies overseas to tune them for people about 10 times a year. Pretty crazy.
Yea, both Brett and Justin recommended Ivey. That’s who I’ll be going with as Justin said I have no other choice. And he’s told me about his reputation and other cars he’s tuned successfully.
