Normally I wouldn’t come on the automotive forum to ask for medical advice, But the injury maybe be automotive related ha.
Anyway I gave my hand a few hard blows last week. One including a bolt snapping and my hand hitting my motor full force, with a few other good hits.
My right hand, between my little finger and wrist. most of the time its fine when at rest it don’t hurt at all. If some how that flexes I get a sharp pain in my hand and it last a while after.
Its not swollen at all. I’m just not sure what happened.
common place to get a fracture, google boxer’s fracture. if it persists, seek medical attention (obviously…) but i’ve been through a bunch, i shattered a couple of the carpal bones in my wrist and landed myself in a brace for almost 6 months w/therapy.
I had a boxers fracture. My hand got crush by a falling metal pole. 6 months with cast and I didnt take the threapy. I did it myself with excerises at home and went right back to work. I knew it was broke because it got really sollen the next day. If you cant move the finger side to side without the sharp pain its probably broken.
This thing is still hurting and not goeeting any better. I guess i should get x rays
It is probably a broken/fractured 5th metacarpal, although not guaranteed a boxer fracture- thats specific to just below the knuckle. Get it set proper, my last one was in a cast for 6 weeks. They don’t always require hard casts, sometimes removable stints will work so you can take a proper shower. After week two, under the cast starts to get pretty rank…
