Sleeper…why go with the Sherrifs? Do you like working details and standing in one place for 8-10 hours? The Sherrifs department will send you through Allegheny County Police Academy and you will become ACT 120 certified. Then you can go and get any job in any municipality. I know several Sherrifs and they say it is the most boring job ever. IMO, if you are looking for a fun job go to a municipality. High pay - city of pgh or state. Why are you looking into the Sherrif’s dept. only?

ACS i don’t have to go take my 120 first, i realize that if i get this job i can becvome local police as well adn not have to be a sheriff for more than a year or so.
