Is it the same as in the states where rural people have NFtoGive?
got my 2nd shot today. Place was basically a ghost town at 8:30am, i just basically walked straight through to the shot station. literally 0 wait anywhere.
I had that for each of my shots at the Niagara Convention Center. They had a whole setup as if they were going to have lines and lines of people but even at 3:30pm on a Wednesday, Walked right in for temp with no one waiting, no one standing at waiting to fill out paperwork at 1 of the 6 tables⌠so that was in and done, then no one waiting to receive the shot. They had like 50 stations it seemed. lol I mean people were at various tables but not all of them were filled. My second shot was 2 weeks ago.
Hopefully more people keep showing up. The tipping point in Israel seemed to be between 40 and 50%. When they hit 50% vaccinated the spread basically just crashed.
Last I saw Erie County was in the low 40% range, so if it stalls now Iâm going to start stealing vaccines and just jabbing random people on the street.
Itâs also kind of hilarious how many people in the US are screaming âOMG NAZISâ when we talk about a vaccine pass meanwhile Israel is already doing it and their population is like, âyea nah, this is fine, now we can do all this stuff without being hassledâ.
The problem is that we are comparing a homogeneous, much smaller country to a very heterogeneous, large country.
Thatâs like saying what works in your household will also work in your neighborhood, you know?
Does it really matter? Covid hasnât really seemed to care about cultural or ethnic diversity, at least beyond the fact that certain groups tend to be ahead of others when it comes to social distancing and vaccination, the same way they are with other healthy living choices.
No I understand that, what Iâm saying is the willingness of a population really does change when comparing.
i donât want to see the vaccine passports, but that is also what will get me to take the vaccine if it becomes inconvenient not to.
i honestly do not see a reason for me to get the vaccine but i donât discourage others from getting it.
If you remove the covid deaths with comorbiditities and then apply the same âwithin 28 daysâ to vaccine deaths iâd like to see what the real math is.
Im was honestly WAY more concerned about losing taste / smell or other weird long term effect than I am from dying. My SIL had covid last summer, she still cant really taste much and what she can taste is way different. F that.
Yeah, that side effect scared the hell of out me. My wife has a FB friend whoâs sense of taste is still all messed up 6+ months after getting Covid. I love food man⌠that would be devastating. lol
Has your SIL been vaccinated? Thereâs some evidence that people that have been suffering long term covid effects get better after having their shot. Nothing pier reviewed and accepted fact, but interesting just the same.
Another fun Covid fact⌠If you end up on oxygen be prepared to be stuck in your house next to the machine, because the portable tanks are harder to find than cheap lumber or ammo. My coworker whoâs wife ended up in the hospital is home now but on oxygen. Theyâve got this beast of a machine he has to drag upstairs each night when she goes to bed but tanks for when they leave the house. Their first order was for 4 tanks, the company showed up with 2. When he said they were supposed to get 4 the guy said âyeah, and my delivery was supposed to have 20, and I got 8, so I have to rationâ. Theyâve been trying to get more since and called multiple places and have been told sorry, thereâs a shortage. She has a doctors appointment next week they NEED a tank for so theyâre saving one for that, and the other one they have is mostly empty so sheâs now anchored at home to the oxygen machine.
She has been. She was SUPER sick after, way worse then when she had covid. I dont recall which she had, but I suspect Moderna.
Iâve heard quite a few people saying Moderna was worse than Pfizer, but I was fine after my Moderna shots. I must have received the placebo.
I canât comment on all that fun covid info. Juat point out what I see in different parts of the country.
Circleville ohio is a weird mix of NFG non wearers in walmarts and restaraunts.
Some employees too.
When Iâm not wearing one AND keeping my distance, I have received zero strange looks.
Some.peoplw.wear masks indoors and out, others donât.
My customer route howeverâŚ
100% mask wearing. Inside or out.
(I work outside, or in a construction mobile mini office all day)
Once you get past the guard gate, only one person per vehicle. Guys that ride together have to walk. Nevermind that you bus guys into the parking lot.
Unrelated, but this is also the first customer that has a safety guy parked in his truck right outside our ropes ALL day long. Watches everything we do. Requires their own work permits, JSAs. Ugh
45 minutes per day wasted.because we use our own and they are better. (That should be In my dum internet thread. Today I had 2 red hats)
iâve heard some wildly disparate policies from all kinds of construction related fields of work. I think it has to do with the client-side⌠say youâre in a large commercial development doing work it could be the ownership group, the property management company or any one of the many insurers or financiers who require heightened protocol around covid for liabilityâs sake.
NY State fully opening May 19th
this stuff wont be up for long⌠huge protest in Montreal over the weekend with upwards of 250,000 people attending.
and
This is a wild read
Can you imagine living with such retarded fear on a daily basis? Youâd think these idiots would just off themselves by now.
