This is pretty consistent with what they say at Canadian customs. Whereby, the rapid tests are less than 60% accurate and therefore not sufficient to avoid quarantine.

To see the vaccine working all you have to do is look at Ontario’s positivity rate vs NY.
Ontario: 24498 tests yesterday, 2170 positive for 7.9%.
Long Island alone, 21614 test yesterday, 185 positive, .9%. These numbers are the same across the state:
And we’re far less locked down than you. The difference? NY crossed the 50% mark for having people fully vaccinated.
I noticed the maskless people when I was at Home Depot yesterday. I did a double take and was surprised to see only because of Cuomo and NYS and still being “needed” for all the stores.
Curious, how did it feel when you went into Wegmans? Anyone give you any looks of death or give you any comments about not having a mask? Did you feel everyone was like staring you down?

I honestly stopped caring about other people in June of last year, to be completely honest. I just do my own thing most of the time. As far as masks go, people are going to be chickenshit for a while but that’s their problem, not mine.

Well my work just put an email out, No more facemasks being required if you’ve been fully vaccinated for at least the 2 weeks. Also no more temperature checks.
So happy, there is a lady we all can’t stand that has been doing the temperature checks every morning. No one cares to see this lady and no one can stand her, she literally just has nothing to do all day so they gave her this job. lol This will make coming in a little nicer.
