Just going to start with that it’s hard to call someone making $84k a year “unappreciated”. Taking away their covid pay bump was pretty shitty though.
Is it fair they’re supervising someone making way more? Probably not, but that’s how things work in a crisis where you’re grossly understaffed. You have to incentivize someone, in this case a general practitioner doctor who is probably happy not dealing with the chaos of a 24/7 covid ICU to abandon his 8-5 GP office. On top of that he gets to see his GP practice he’s built suffer because he’s not there.

I did see mention of Isreal and with my echo chamber, I immediately saw irony.
A vaccinated population that may have strong tendencies for family values/duties and cleanliness defending themselves from rockets that may have been funded with Covid relief money from the US.
That is hard to believe and might be false, but would be a cool meme.

Yeah, they’re saying vaccinated people don’t have to wear them indoors at most places, so I’m assuming that will basically just be the end of masks. I mean, stores aren’t going to check people’s vax status. I wouldn’t be surprised if some companies make their employees put it on file before they can go maskless though to cover their own asses.
Who wants to take bets Emperor Cuomo says NY is keeping it’s mask mandates in place?

Posted this 15 days ago. Erie County didn’t stall at 40%, and instead pushed through past 50. And our cases are now plummeting just like Israel’s did.
Curious who else agrees. I feel the CDC released this new guideline only to get people to want to get their vaccinations to not have to wear a mask anymore. I really don’t think it was because of the science.
“Hey, if we tell people if they get vaccinated they wont have to wear a mask anymore… think of all the people that will run to get their vaccination so they no longer have to wear one”
Idk, I stopped wearing my mask way before I got my vaccine because I just don’t give a shit about any of this anymore.
It’s time for personal responsibility to take over at this point.

A friend of mine (mid 40s) has been fully vaccinated since Feb. He was exposed to covid by a friend that got it from his mother.
He has zero symptoms but got tested. Both rapid and normal testing came back positive. Health dept making him quarantine for 10 days. His wife tested negative so she doesnt need to quarantine apparently even tho she had the same exposure. They werent sure what it meant for the two kids…
How is it we’re 14mo in and still dont really know what to do… (rhetorical)

Even after the top 9 health experts in NY quit under the Cuomo administration, Does NY have better health experts than the CDC?
Cuomo no longer has Trump to use as a crutch anymore seeing as the Democratic President came out saying masks are no longer needed for vaccinated individuals. So curious if NY has better experts than the CDC?
