CryO2 intercooler sprayer system

Idk i was looking at some car stuff on the internet and came acrossed this thought i would bring it up for you Turbo guys to take a look at. It sprays CO2 onto the intercooler cooling it they say to more than 50% than air alone. This would come in handy at the track instead of buying that bag of ice. http://www.designengineering.com/products.asp?m=sp&tid=2&pid=3&image=236&album=8&page=1

Yep. I prefer methanol injection. Very cheap and effective.

N20 spray into the IC is an old dyno trick too.

this is a way of setting it up so u guys can get asn iea of how it works.

The hell with CO2, get some liquid helium and cool that bitch down to 13 Kelvin

these kinds of systems have been out for a LONG time.

These have been around for a while. The nitrous companies got into it first. If you have a IC spray bar you can fill your nitrous bottle with C02 and it would be the same thing. It is very effective tho. I have also seen a freon cooled intercooler that worked great. You have some parasitic loss like with any AC system but it was very compact.

Pretty sweet

Water is still proven to work better, even on basic physics and chemistry alone. Water has a higher specific heat than those gaseous forms(ability to absorb heat), and more heat energy is transfered to a liquid mass quicker and more efficiently than a gaseous form.

Which is why I use WWF to get best of both worlds.
