Cusco Comp 2 setup

ok so I bought these beautifull coilovers from JDM place.

But, having never owned or used, or setup coilovers before I have little to no idea of what I am doing in regards to setting them up. Aside from the following,

  1. the fronts are 4 way adjustable, the rears are 8
  2. there is a collar for movingthe spring up and down, and a lock collar.
  3. there are 2 springs on each damper, a small not very strong at al, at the top, and a longer much much firmer spring on the bottom. These springs are serperated by red metal plate.

The situation.

when installed I thought I was adjusting the ride height by moving the collar up and down to my personal preferences. I may be very wrong by diong so.

I noticed that under the full weight of the car, the small top springs are almost fully if not toally compressed. I would like to know if this is correct or if something it wrong. I have had a few discussions with various people who seem to believe that this is correct and they will expand to act as a damper in situations where entire unit is extended (I don’t see any situation where this may happen but it sounds plausible)

I am also worried that I have noticed the damper compress slightly while under the weight of the car, is this as well normal ?
The rears are easily adjustable as there is a big knob with 1 through 8 clearly labled upon it. The front seem to be missing whatever form of cap (I know of these caps as we have extra 5 point caps at my work in a drawer in the back) but due to them being missing fomr my coilovers and my only knowing of there being 4 possible settings… I have no damn clue…

I cannot move the car at the moment as I do not have any certs or plates on it at all…

I will post a photo of them so you have an idea of what they look like.
