custom sub box

i have 2 10 inch alpine type s i want to put in my trunk.

i want to make a floor in the trunk with the 2 10s incorperated (sp) into the floor and to go in the wheel well.
if you guys no of anyone who can do this can u please refer them to me.

thanks

I built my own in my truck. lol.

Any good experienced installer can do that. Get pics of what particular installers have done, and choose the guy you want.

If you want the Best go to Darcy at FX Audio (formerly Audio Concepts)… End of story.

But like others said there are lots of decent installers around.

do it your self man its not hard i made a nos bottle with a 10 inch sony sub in it i made it out of fiber glass if you send me a pic of the trunk and the spare tire hole and ill draw u up a few boxes that will fit i have an idea of what u want if just takes time it wil cost u around 40-80$ for the fiber glass 30 $ for a sheet of mdf104 on 2 bottles of silicon + carpet of what ever u want on top so maybey 100- 200$ max and if u went to a shop it will cost no less then 400$

holy fuck i posted that over a year ago

call Bob Beaton in Lethbridge from stay tuned instalations. He knows his shit. He’s been to IASCA and DBDRAG world finals and placed in them. He can build somthing crazy loud or the best SQ car you ever hear. amazing install too. If you ever come to Leth call him and see his hundreds of pictures of installs he has done.

no i didnt i just took my subs out. cuz i have to put tools in the trunk.

Id like to see some of his ideas for a set up in my truck! :E

The 6.5inch boom tub is getting old lol

if you still want this done… i am a former installer from certified radio… let me know … maybe we can work somethign out… l8ter…

would you check out my truck?

Make it with a frame, old bedsheet and resin and fibreglass sheets. make the frame, cover the bedsheet with resin, and put it over the frame, now put more resin and fibreglass sheets over the bedsheet, let dry and then cut your holes for the subs. There you go, a lightweight custom sub. Just don’t let the fibreglass dry in your car, make measurements. If you let it dry in your car, your car will smell like fibreglass forever (not even joking FOREVER).

actually if you do fiberglassing properly in a car it wont smell forever… ive build 100’s of sub box’s with fiberglas in tucks, cars and SUV’s and the smell does go away…

your instructions are correct, but i would build the frame… put your material over it… THEN resen it… then cut out where you want the subs to be…then body fill… then pant, or vinal… but hey… if u can do it yourself by all means go crazy!!!
