D-Series thought

Has anyone ever thought of using a D16Y5 head with a D15Z1 block, D15Z1 rods, and PMS (01+ GX) pistons?

I’ve been going over all kinds of boring shit with a compression calculator all day, and it seems like this would make a crazy NA setup… i don’t know about valve clearance…

should work but to get power out of the motor it will take more than just slapping the head on the block

put a turbo kit on it! we put a t25 on my buddys stock crx d16 and ran 15-16 lbs of boost and 30+ passes and ran a 13.1 at 108. also has lasted a couple years

there is a couple problems with your whole thinking your are using a head which was designed to get good gas mileage yeah it may be vtec but it is vtec-e which basically throws a wrench in to the whole thing that and i dont know what timing belt you would use and the fact that the only intake manifold that fits on it is the same one used for good gas mileage i dont know i think you would be better off with some other head
