Stop by and check out the civic I have. What could it hurt?
I would be tempted if it were 5 speed. The more I think this over, the more I want another Prizm or Corolla in 5 speed only. Going to check a couple out later today in Rochester.
i’ll be heading from the 'cuse to Gowanda area this coming week end… I’d be willing to go kick the tires of that CL prism if you were interested at all and check it out - just offering to be a help! (and its minutes from where I’ll be)
Thanks I appreciate the offer but I don’t want to bother with it. Still looking!
I found this in Buffalo Barter section
That silver prizm is owned by someone who goes to canisius college, i see it all the time in the parking garage. I mean, is in nice shape, but it has so much stupid shit on it. Who ever owns it lives near williamsville north high school to, i always see it parked outside.
BUMP, still searching…
I seriously would have considered this until I got inside and the interior reeked of smoke, bummer. And I know your Civic is still out there but I just can’t justify the price with that many miles. I know a lot of work has gone into it, but I’d rather try to find something else.
I just ponied up monies to fix my Prizm. Hopefully it’ll pass inspection now. No more CEL, a functional rear brake set up, new vapor canister and a tune up.
I hope it’ll last me another 3 years. I love this crappy piece of shit for some reason.
There was a corolla I stopped to see in the south towns of b-lo but it was auto-tragic so I didn’t find out info, price, etc for you…
I understand. I am open to offers though.
Good for you man, with 2 cars in your stable, that should easily continue its good service for you.
I appreciate the look out. I am going to Rochester tomorrow to check one out. Hopefully this is the one, I’ll post up if all goes well.
Motocross-What was the CEL on for? The only reason I’ve ever seen a CEL on in a Corolla/Prizm is for the code “insufficient temp control for closed loop fuel system.” Throw in a front o2 sensor and you’re golden. I don’t even scan them prior to when I buy them thats how dead nuts reliable they are.
Livin-The best way to go is with a Prizm as the simple fact that it has 3 Chevy emblems instead of a Toyota makes it worth significantly less. With a 5spd they get fantastic fuel economy and will run till the body rusts back to the earth from which it was made. They’re great little cars.
Krant- P0441/P0446
EVAP codes are also very popular on the Prizms/Corollas as well as MAF codes. The MAF can just be cleaned and it’s good as new though.
In any event, I did look for Prizms due to their cheaper resale value. However, I put a deposit on this today, just couldn’t pass it up. 2001 Corolla S
Very nice, looks pretty clean. Did it come with snow tires on it to? Or does the tread jsut look be be like snow tire. These things don’t die, I’m sure youll have it for a while.
Yeah it came with 2 snows up front and 2 all seasons mounted on separate steelies, so 6 tires and rims total. No rust on the vehicle and the underside was very clean as well. I love the interior. The S models came with all black interior which is sooooo much nicer than the beige/brown interior combo the other models come with.
