figured its about time i take the time to post a build thread after a year or so…
anyways, this is my 1993 honda prelude si
the day i bought it:
since then, i sold those rims, and got some stock “flowers” and this is how she sits now
then, last fall, the motor took a poop :banghead
i needed a daily to get back and forth to school, so i picked up another h23 (non vtec) and threw that in quick… wish i had spent a little extra money on an h22 but whatever
right now the mods that i have on the car are an aem v2 intake and a dc header w/ 2.5" collector mod
as i have quite a nice amount of money coming in recently due to high school graduation and working two jobs for the summer, i have decided to build a g23 (for those of you who do not know, this utilizes an f23 block and an h22 head and k20 pistons and cranks out about 200whp)
but first, i would like to get a new set of wheels and get some struts and springs and an exhaust…
any suggestions/criticism are welcome :thumbup

As far as suspension, I have a set of Tein Basics off my old prelude still laying around. Maybe 3500 miles on them. Shoot me a PM if you’re interested.
Check out these links for lots of good info on your build. I did a lot of research into the build before deciding to just swap a full H22 into my old lude.
Thanks. I’ve heard that the h22 and h23 have the same intake manifold. The sc uses the stock bottom half of the I’m so who knows maybe it will fit. There are a few on preludeonline for under $1500
thats what i planned on doing once i complete the g series build
i know the cylinder layout between the h22 and h23 are different, im not so sure if that affects the intake mani but i would be interested in finding out :excited
They DO NOT have the same intake manifold. The H23 and H22 have very similar blocks. But the heads are totally different. To run the JRSC you must have an H22 head.
Also, here’s a thread I made way back that compiles a ton of information on the H/F series of honda motors.
That should help you pick out exactly what parts you need for the build.
If you have any other questions let me know. I spent 3 years researching and talking to people that have done these builds. I just never got around to it myself.
