ok, my car has gone thru some stages, some good, some not so good haha. main things this summer are a few more boltons, one last tune, and new paint.

this was a couple summers ago after i got tired of the crappy condition of the factory paint

then i drove around like this for a bit

then finally the paint…stock cypress green pearl with a layer of gold pearl ontop

then i added a front lip = time for new pics

tried for some nite pics in winter mode

then i may have bounced off a hillside crackin the paint on the front…and then i noticed it was crackin on some ohter spots to last summer, so time to do it again.

oh, also at this point my wheels have been painted bronze from the black with red lip

buuut, school was comin up real fast, ran out of time for a real nice paint job, so for $20, a buddy’s borrowed front yard, and a gallon of farm and tractor paint…she was then matte black

now, im doin the cars last paint job, just back to the stock color which i loved to begin with. the matte black was fun for a while, but since there was no clear coat to protect it, it looks like shit now… now i get to sand allll of those layers off, and let me tell you, that farm and tractor paint is a bitch to sand off for sure. dont have any pics of the work im doin right now, but i will have them soon

Damn Dante…you just keep changin’ shit around. I loved the flat black though, nicer than the gold pearl/CGP mixture.

haha, im still indifferent on it, it was something i just wanted to try out to see how it looked. FYI for anyone wantin to try it, dont use the duplicolor pens, you go around a few bends and they all rub off. the second time i tried it, it worked out well with a white grease pen

yeah im going 80, 150, 220, prime where i gone thru too far, the wet sand 320, 400

ok sorry for the lack of updates, digi cam died, and then the teg needed other repairs (rear trailing arm bushings, toe adjustment arms) then she also got 4 new kumho tires, and a 4300K hid kit as well. the window tint is removed, and the new catback exhuast is on there to replace the fart can. its still all 2.5 inch but it has a stock lookin muffler now. dynomax ultraflow muffler, black slant cut tip, 2.5 pipe, and a magnaflow resonator.

but anyway, here is where she stands now. heres a couple pics of it sanded with the da and 80 grit.

i dont have pics yet but right now im done with the da, from 80 grit up to 220, the mirrors are ready for paint, the side skirts, the door moldings are off and ready, the ITR lip is not quite ready yet. ive primed the spots where i accidently went to bare metal, all thats left basicaly is im gonna wetsand with 400 just to smooth everything up.

oh and yes, the whole car is gettin sealed before we spray so dont worry about it lookin camo right now

so paint day is sunday, so i will try to update with some more pics before then, and defintely after. so shes comin together slowly but surely, after all the bodywork i wanna get these thrown on there

duno when i’m gonna have the help to do it, or when im gonna have time to do it. school is approachin quickly! but thats all for now.

well, the matte black was a temporary thing, the first green coat was a rushed job and didnt last long at all. this time its gettin done right!

just clear it
