usually if your running a 12v power supply to standard LEDs, they have a certain amount of resistance of themselves, usually between 3.5 and 4v, so you have to know how many LEDs your going to have in circuit, determine the total amount of resistance from them, find out what the desired LED current needs to be which would be 3.5-4 volts, and then you need to know how many LEDs your going to put in the series to find the voltage drop across the LEDs

Right, the only thing is I’ll need to find the current to determine the remaining resistance

if your running a simple series circuit (power supply > xxx resistor > x # of resistors) you can assume the voltage drop is 0, so in that case you’d need a resistor of 600ohms

but idk exactly how you want to wire this up so i cant be certain
