Dats not good

Well, I knew what it was the second I heard it on Monday, but didn’t confirm it until today. I checked all the easy stuff first (tightening of shit in the engine bay), checked the tightness of all of my coilover shit and all other suspension shit, but that was just beating around the bush because I knew what it was (ask m430r lol)

Deff not good.

KKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKustom, Wayne and others, please submit via PM your bids to fix this :rofl :facepalm

paging joe jiggs

oh

at least your engine still runs lol

yeah that sucks man. get it fixed by h2YO!

When I got my Neon all 3 motor mounts were completely shot and it felt like the motor was trying to get out of the car when I stepped on it from a stop.

I ended up replacing two of the mounts right away and bought the third one but couldnt replace it because the radiator support was bent on the bottom and made replacing that mount nearly impossible.

cool story brah

Well the thing is here that the mounting bracket itself is fine, the “torque” (lol) from the motor actually ripped a hole in the frame. I’ll try and find pics of it happening to others. It’s probably the biggest flaw of a well-maintained AW11 chassis, it happens to 80% of the people who upgrade in terms of power, motor mount density, etc. I have 65A poly inserts and ~30 more whp than stock (a big percentage when you’re coming from ~125whp stock) and even though there is not a spec of rust on my frame it still tore it off.

Looking for pics naow.

,

what my frame likely looks like, only the rear hole though (right side in the pic):

the “fix”

my problem/fix should not be quite as extreme, unfortunately i have to drive the car to work tomorrow though and the car has ben beat on quite a bit since monday so i’m sure i made it a bit worse since the initial breakage :rofl

Ruh Roh:eek

just did zachs motor mounts in the e30… at least your car didnt eat coolent hoses caused by the motor shifting and the alternator fan chomping away on a highway lol. Altho frame damage is bad worse lol

that fix looks horrendous. it really doesnt look like too hard of a task. its definately good that your car has very little to zero rust.

this :ohnoes

Have Wayne plate 3/16" steel all over that bitch :rofl

That isnt that bad man. If you can get it to me, I can plasma out a plate and weld it in, maybe gusset that right had section up the rail too, to strengethen it up more.

or wayne can do it… we both that the means to pull it off.

yes how can i help you

literally the last thing i need

kkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkustom will be fixing and reinforcing this motherfucker

damn, how come we didn’t see that when we had it jacked up?

Caus we never had the ebrake up and momma kramer in the car intentionally stalling it :rofl closest she’ll ever get to driving a manual

Good news is my car vibrated a lot at idle over the past few months so hopefully this was the reason
