So story is Dave will soon be selling his BMW and needed some pics, Nolan and i met up at Daves shop and took the car out for a shoot. It was raining all day and just a shitty day to take pics but Nolan and i made the best of it. Here is my set and im sure nolan will upload his later on.
The grays are nice, the shadows of the car could be brighter in relation to how bright the background is. #4 the wheel is turned the wrong way. #5 and #6 the wheel is cut off. Not bad though, the kit lens is a great lens - very sharp.
Maybe it’s just me, but the black wheels seem to make the car hard to capture, especially in the shade, like in pic 3. The wheels just get lost. Not trying to knock the car or whatever, just pointing that out.
Yeah # 4 was a little weird since the wheel was facing the other way but Nolan was shooting the car from the front and i didnt really want to wait or turn the wheel in case he needed more shots of it in that direction since it seems he had more of an eye and vision.
5 and 6 you are right the wheels are cut off but i was really looking to highlight the front nose and quarter panel.
yeah the wheels do get lost a bit since there is so many dark colors there but i actually think # 3 came out pretty good.
#1 is still my favorite. Def some good shots for your first “photo shoot”. my only comments are pretty much what Jim said haha. Look forward to shooting with you again! In better weather ofcourse…
since you wanted me to give you some feedback ill do a short critique for you … if this was a shoot to try to sell the car it sucked lol but for creative purposes it was good for your first time with your own equip
deff wont help you sell a car … maybe a turn signal
is prob your best shot … good exposure good job keeping the car level and framing it nicely
tough to get this shot right without multiple exposures … cant see the wheels but the car is as close to perfectly proportioned as you could get it and i love that
dont like much about this shot … sorry … never shoot the tire tread i dont care wtf your doing … oh unless your selling tires
1 step to the right and dont cut off the wheel and this one would work … you should have tried to use the tree and white line to try to frame it
almost didnt cut off the tire this time …
finally something to use to sell the car
not working for me
back up a few inches so as not to cut off the button and shifter boot
could work with multiple exposures but i cant see much …
next time POST BIGGGER PICKTARZ! not bad for a beginner tho … my starting pix were much worse … but then again I didnt someone like myself to walk around with all summer
