who knows…March 13th - 70 degrees, 7:30pm still light…I’ll take it

I would, but considering I already tried and you didn’t get, I wont waste my time.

Try a yahoo search…:bowrofl: :bowrofl: :bowrofl:

better to have light while we are awake then while we are sleeping. more people awake at 7pm then 6am so they move it an hour. bam now you dont have to waste alot of energy (power) by having alot of lights on in themorning getting the kids to school. and at evening while cihlling watching tv or something stupid.

light > not light

i just dont know why they moved it up 3 weeks…

agreed

i’ll take it, esp on days like today :blue:

really?

here is an official reason: http://www.energy.ca.gov/2007publications/CEC-200-2007-001/CEC-200-2007-001.PDF

this is the short: The original House bill would have added two full months, one in the spring and another in the fall. According to some U.S. senators, farmers complained that a two-month extension could adversely affect livestock, and airline officials said it would have complicated scheduling of international flights. So, a compromise was worked out to start DST on the second Sunday in March and end the first Sunday in November.

and the governments main reasons are…

  1. Daylight Saving Time saves energy.
  2. Daylight Saving Time saves lives and prevents traffic injuries.
  3. Daylight Saving Time prevents crime.

i think ben franklin came up with the concept to save candles and lamp oil back in the 1700-1800s

sounds like a bunch of hippy bullshit to me

Very interesting, I didn’t even know livestock could tell time.

the worst part for me is i sleep the same amount but feel more worn out. i also wake up through out the night and can’t sleep. during regular time i dont do this.

you’ll be fine once your circadian rhythm adjusts to the change

For me it is just the opposite. I feel more normal waking up and driving to work while it’s dark. When I’m driving to work and it is already light out I feel late, and therefore the whole day seems a little off.
