Hey Guys,
Please post up what you feel is the best set up for an S14 DD. It will see track time but more like 80/20 split.
If possible what spring rates would be best. I have a line on STD’s(what a name) does anybody have any experience with them?

don’t have any experience myself, but I remember coming across this thread for the STD’s if it helps any.
I run stance gr+ in both my cars for years + through winter… no issues.
there is alot of good stuff out there to chose from and a lot of unknowns.
I’ve heard nothing good or bad about STD… don’t see a reason to try them though.

8/6 is okay for me on both cars… i would like harder for the track though… the DD could be a bit softer though… not for me but for passengers… i get alot of complaints.
9 in the front and 8 to 9 in the rear is what I want for my setup.
6 is too soft in the rear IMO !!
My buddy went for 10 in the rear in his E30, was pretty stiff for sure !!
Some people find 8/6 a little much. I don’t mind it at all, I used to DD JIC Magic 1’s with 8/6, 80km one way to work… The quality of struts will really make or break your ride. Cheap coilovers with 8/6 springs will suck compared to a qulaity set.
