Is there a way that you can fix/replace the backlight inside a lcd on a laptop?
The LCD panels are sealed. You’d have to buy a new identical panel assembly and swap in the new one for the old. Not very hard at all.

The two parts that can go are the inverter or the panel itself.
If the panel won’t light up at all, I would try an inverter before you buy a panel.
On most notebooks its pretty straightforward to replace panels and inverters.
