i bought it with most of the problems known. i just need a point in the right direction finding parts. just picked up a starter for 50 shipped.
darkkstar told me about this place. i wasnt sure if thats what i needed because it didnt say it was the repair kit… so i didnt know if it came with the new clips.
dont feel bad, gm uses plastic tabs/sashes to hold the glass to the regulator and they break all the time.
i thought thats what was wrong with this window (plastic clips), but apparently they just use a normal regulator.
i have to take the door panel off to confim, but i found the regs at 1st vw parts for like 65
what year is it? they were on recall for the later model vdubs.

bah yer fuxd check anyways if its still the same lame cord wrapped around a pulley design, it might be the same part.
theres a 1800 number in the yellow pages, its a junkyard in cali and they sell good oem parts mad cheap.
