Pot is a gateway drug for SOME people… including myself, but not all… it depends on the personality of the person using… just like in AA, NA & institutions they try and teach you that alcohol is a drug, and if you stop smoking pot, snorting coke, etc. you have to stop drinking… I don’t believe that at all… for some people, drinking will send them straight back to doing other things… I still drink socially, and I haven’t even thought about doing drugs since July 2001.
They teach you that shit in health class because they THINK it will keep you from even starting… bullshit.
cuz you have other countrys controlling it also. i mean if you try to control it your still going to get the trafficing of the other stuff that the federal government wont be able to control. hense it wouldnt be controlable. unless they didnt give a fuck after they legalize it and start controlling it just like they do with people who make their own wine and moonshine. but i could probally guarantee you alot of the weed crime would disappear
Here’s a question/scenario for the pro-weed crowd (personally I really don’t have a side in this one):
Seems to be somewhat agreed by both sides that those who smoke all the time are wastes and useless and would be drains on society. Darkstar claims the majority of pot smokers do it responsibly (which I take to mean in moderation, most likely in their own home etc, not before driving to work, etc.) Don’t you think a lot of these “responsible” users just do it in such responsible ways because of the fact they know the shit is illegal and they don’t want to be caught? Meaning, legalization would most likely lead to more drains on society as people would tend to use more and in more open places?
Also, pot is easy to grow in rather large quantities, and unlike cigarettes processed from tobacco (currently regulated and taxed by the government), growing and harvesting pot could be done by anyone and sold tax free at prices lower than the government. So unless the government got some wicked deal on the price of baggies, the local growers could easily undersell the government. Also, since possession of any type would not be illegal, the risks associated with growing would be much less.
Just a couple potential problems I see in the huge tax revenues, less police needed, only would benefit society picture the pro-weed crowd presents.
pot isnt easy to grow. you have to drop at least $500 to get started. and the government WOULD get wickid deals. ever heard of sam’s club and costco? when you buy in bulk you get a better price. The government could sell packs of joints for less than a pack of cigarettes. How can a street level dealer compete with that? And even if he did try and undercut them, who the fuck is gonna buy a bag of weed for $2.50 from some guy on the corner when he can go into a gas station and buy a pack of joints for $3.00. If you could only make a $2 on a bag of pot, you wouldnt be in business for very long.
bwahh no some pot head found out what the CIA was doing and that you halucinate and decided to try it. POT IS IN THE SAME FAMILY…do you just not pay attention or does your white trash honkey ass not know how to read?
