bringin this back up… got about 10 hours in this past weekend and up to the point where you switch players.
at first i was super dissappointed switching from nero because the devil hand makes for awesome combos. however, maybe I have alzheimers but in DMC3 I don’t think you could switch styles on the fly between swords/guns/trick/guard etc? If not, allowing that to be an on the fly thing makes playing as dante super fun but rather complex.

only thing that bothers me so far is some of the camera work, which is usually an issue with just about any 3rd person game
Must say that the pre-title screen cinematic was awesome and made me pumped to play!
I tried the ps3 demo the other day because of this thread, I hadn’t played any of the previous ones. The graphics are definitely impressive. Its not my usual style of game, but I may give the full version a shot.
Beat the game a few nights ago. The Son of Sparda difficulty level is more like DMC3. Dante is not in the game enough, I actually like using him rather than Nero.
