I’ve heard about this quite a few times. I think it’s kinda joint fault between DexCool and the design of the 3x00 motors. I have seen those motors with the green stuff fail at the lower intake gaskets numerous times due to the design of the heads and the block/intake where it all meets. It usually fails at the corners where the diagonal bolts go into the heads. DexCool just speeds up the process.

My Beretta was no different. I replaced the intake gasket at 87,000 miles and it was due for another change whenI got rid of it at 116k

heh, so thats wtf was so messed up with my dads old 97 Cutlas Supreme. It had sooo many cooling problems in the past 5 years. He eventually turned it into charity bc of the shape the thing was in.

whhhhaaaa cry me a fucking river

So where was this four years ago??

Now if they could only get Grand Prixs to stop burning to the ground. GM FTMFL

This has been around for a few years actually. You can be reimbursed multiple times if you’ve had multiple repairs.

My family has been in the Automotive Heating and Cooling business for over 40 years now and we see a lot of GM vehicles with Dex Cool related problems. When Dex Cool was first released, I ran it in my race car since it was supposed to be so good. I had a brand new aluminum water pump housing and over the course of a year, it ate the hell out of the openings on the housing and ruined my water pump. I recommend have the system switched over to regular green to anyone that has any Dex Cool problems.
