REQUIREMENTS & LIMITATIONS

                   Eligibility Requirements

TTo be eligible for the purchase of any parts through the MAZDASPEED MOTORSPORTS DEVELOPMENT team support program, including stock and competition parts, you must be registered in our program with current race results, or building a new car and be able to prove membership in a racing organization.
                   If you have results.

You must provide copies of official race results from 2 events you participated in within the past twelve months. The race results must include the following information:
  • Event name and date held

  • Sanctioning organization/club holding the event

  • Your name

  • Model of Mazda raced

  • Finishing position If you are building your car.

If your race car is currently under construction, the race results requirement will be temporarily waived if you can provide a copy of your racing club membership card (SCCA, NASA, etc.). You will be required to provide a completion date for the first race you plan to compete in. You will need to provide race results from your first event within 30 days after the competition.

You will not be able to purchase parts if you cannot provide all information as in one of the cases above.

The Team Support Program allows members to purchase stock parts for their race vehicle(s) under following conditions:

  • Each race vehicle must be pre-registered with copies of official race results from 2 events on file from the past or current season, (or a current photo and copy of racing club membership card) sent in.

  • If you change racing classes or the model of Mazda being raced you should advise us immediately by fax, letter, phone or e-mail.

  • If you reside outside the 50 United States or Canada, to be eligible to purchase parts, you must compete in a minimum of 2 events held within the United States or Canada each year.

  • You are responsible for keeping us informed of any change in model/body work, engine size, and year of race vehicle or parts thereof.

  • Race results must be submitted regardless of whether you are participating in the Mazda Contingency Awards Program.

  • If you have multiple drivers for one or more cars, a separate application and results will be needed for each driver.

so basically all i have to do to be eligible for this is do 2 auto-x events and submit the results and i get parts discounted… sounds like a good deal there

Meaning ask me about it because I’ve been a member for more than 2 years? I’m sure I’ve talked about it at least once before, and I tell anybody at WNY or FLR SCCA events about it.

They do sell other upgrades that aren’t OEM, too.

I order from them all the time, the prices are so good! I used to do all my stuff through onlinemazdaparts.com (online sales side of Montgomery Mazda in NC) and though good, the prices just can’t compare.

I just ordered new tail lights from them. MSRP $129 per light, racer price $76 per light.

Rear liftgate for my car (just the bare metal, no glass, no lock, etc) $760something MSRP $405 racer price.

I even buy all my oil filters from them (they’re german-made though so I don’t know who actually makes them).

It’s an excellent way to keep racers with the flying M brand

how many mazda owners on the forum?

I have membership, but haven’t purchased anything yet. I will when I do a timing belt/wp.

i don’t see anything for my car. Mabey some of the regular mazda6 parts, but not many.

^^ Mazdaspeed6?

yeah they won’t have much because if they do stock any of the race parts, the race cars aren’t mazdaspeed6s… they aren’t even the v6 model  at least the speed world challenge touring cars I’ve been in (tripoint engineering and tindol motorsports, awesome awesome friendly teams)

They’ll have any stock part you could ever need though, at the best price you can find.

They are probably just in the normal 6 and 3 sections. I’m sure if you put in a part number they have it. So far the only part I haven’t been able to find (other than strictly JDM and EDM stuff) is a revised EGR valve that added fluid and vacuum lines to the once just electrical valve. Turns out it is only available in Canada, and they all get the revised one for free (even if the car is out of warranty).

Actually, this is NEWS to me. Last I heard Mazda was going to withdraw support for the SCCA due to them not supporting MX-5 packages and supporting illegal mods for the Solstice/Sky.

Cliffs, SCCA approves of teh MS-R package, then deems them illegal. While Pontiac and Saturn dealers DO NOT carry aftermarket “OEM” parts as required by the rules.

That’s what I wanted to verify, since there was already some misinformation in earlier posts.

I remember seeing a Mazdaspeed 3 rotor engine on the list of stuff you could get if I’m not mistaken.

Withdrawing support from the SCCA has nothing to do with their contingency support of racers that use their brand. Even if MAzda withdraws sponsorship from SCCA events, they will still support their CUSTOMERS regardless of where they race(which is why Mazda is kick ass in my book).

Damn that thread you posted Jeremy with the whole MAzda v.s. SCCA bru-hah-ha is one hell of a read.
