ditch my cobra for a ford lighting?

i have an 03 cobra, and wanna sell it/trade it and buy a lighting as my car to mess around in. what should i look for if/when i look at one, and what are they worth stock, stockish (bolt ons), and modified (whipple, etc.) i have been thinking about this for awhile now and i would drive it more than i drive my cobra, i could use the bed to haul my dirt bike around or anything else and it would be way easier to load the bike in there than my lifted f350 lol, so it would be a fun fast useful truck in the summer. plus my girlfriend would actually use it sense she’s afraid to take the cobra anywhere because she’s not that great with a 6 speed and the clutch is heavy for her. what do you guys think :tif: any input would help! thanks!

Cobra > Lightning all day any day

unless you sell me your Cobra for a good deal in which case a Lightning is badass.

Give me your Cobra. I’ll give you my 1999 Ford F250 with the legendary 5.4 Triton V8. Automatic trans for the girlfriend. Full length bed for the toys. No power windows, locks, and such so it’s reliable. I’ll even throw in a set if summer wheels and I’ll paint the words Thunder AND Lightning on it. Think about it.

If you care about performance don’t go the lightning route because in the end you trying to make a 5000lb brick fast.

Don’t get me wrong I really like those trucks but if you have plans to heavily mod it :tif:

Do, then get this shirt.

Mike had everything any then some done to his Lightning. It was fast as hell for a 5000lb brick, but it cost a small fortune, it’s a truck that you can’t really use as a truck, and it has a TINY little niche of a following. It’s sort of an oddball in the car world.

yes he is right a 2v motor does not take alot to blow up…i know…but i put alot of money in mine to make it 700hp…

obviously the car would be better performance wise…but its still a car.

I vote truck but i’m a truck guy. I would take a quick truck over a quick car anyday.

Keep the cobra
