what are your thoughts on 03-04 cobra?

So I know I was asking everybody to help me go in the right direction on my cobalt ss/tc, but im not feeling the whole fwd anymore.
So ive been wanting to get rwd again and im looking at getting a 03 or 04 cobra. anybody have anything to say bad or good about them i would really appreciate it. Or what year is better to get to.

thank you guys and gals. lol

West herr has a 03 with 13k on it for around 20.It is perfect. I have driven cobramans car and taken many rides in it. for the minimal money he has in it.The car moves real well.I say it is a good idea.

do you know which west herr?

It is at west herr dodge right now.

im a honda guy, but these cars are pretty damn nice and if i was going to go with a domestic it would absolutely be one of these

definitely get it if you can. as long as youre not an idiot, the bottom end is bullet proof. youre a supercharger swap away from enough power to run 10s.

on a related note, how familiar are you with wheel hop?

thank you very much.

i really like that car. but im not really feeling that color. i want black or blue im thinking, but if i can get it for the right price i would take it. im some what familiar with wheel hope, since im driving this cobalt ss/tc. may i ask why?

thank you again everyone for the help.

Cobras have ALOT of rubber in the IRS setup that leads to drastic wheel hop and diff cover distortion.

really? i dont plan on beating on it everyday though. once it a blue moon, i would just rather a nice car to cruise around in! thanks for the heads up though.

mr stanger do you still have the cobra?

sorry i know its a big ass pic, but it will give you an idea of how much you got going on under the back of one of those things.

A termi is the only other sports car i will ever buy. Just get one. You WILL NOT be disappointed!

Just curious, how fast are these stock? 1/4 mile et and trap?

I always thought they were the best looking trim.

thanks for the pic. it does look a lil confusing lol

if you wanna spend a little more, there is a red cobra ready to go with KB and all for 27 in canadaigua sp?

Steeda among others make packages to stop wheel hop. Or you could remove the IRS

http://www.steeda.com/products/cobra_stop_the_hop_package.php

its a good platform, with a strong engine, downfall IRS like everyone says. But remember there really heavy, and alot of guys buy huge blowers on them that dyno a good peak numbers, and roll race good. That isn’t gona back it up, what it should run, in street setup they drive around in. You can still go really fast with the eaton, and supporting mods.

not totally certain but mid/high 12s at ~110 i believe.

like studderin says, bolts ons and a tune and youre running high 11s@117+

Love it, do it before I start looking into loans.
