however the whole “time heals everything” saying is only half true

but still is the best answer to any issue like this

what will happen, (and will be hard to see now) is that as time passes you will understand what happened better, (less emotions will be involved, or perhaps less raging feelings) and you will gain perspective. and with this newfound understanding about yourself or your ex you will then better understand what makes you happy. And that is good shit because you can use this new enlightenment to make wiser decisions next time =)

If Karter had showed his “softer” side you would have slowly drifted away from him and the reason for the break up would have been “He’s too needy” or “He could never be my shoulder to cry on, because he was always the one crying”.
