DIY InlinePro Turbo s2000(done, now w/vids./dyno graphs)

Well as many of you remember, I popped my dads motor at dunnville when I money shifted, not once, but twice and each time saying, “its a honda…itll be okay” only to have the second time be the TKO.
bought a 46K mile motor from Inlinepro, that was taken out for a customer’s fully built motor.
also bought Inlinepro’s entire s2000 setup(http://www.inlinepro.com/s2k.html)
" S2000 Turbo Kit
[FONT=arial][SIZE=1] [FONT=Arial Black][COLOR=black]InlinePRO offers a turbo kit like no other. With the ability to produce over 450rwhp on pump gas and a starting price of $3995, every S2000 enthusiast can have the extra reliable power they have been searching for.

Our turbo kit features inlinePRO’s very own turbo manifold. With careful research and development, we have created a true production, cast design manifold to create a strong manifold that will not crack. With a centralized wastegate location, boost creep/boost spike is kept to a minimum.

We have designed and manufactured many parts in our turbo kit, from the blow-off valve to the chargepipe it is mounted on. Our custom designed charge pipes create an OEM look and feel in the engine. With a mirror polished finish, you can impress the judges at the carshows and still puts down good power! Mirror finished downpipe and dumptube is also included to release the exhaust gases.

An engine management system is required to properly tune your S2000 along with the turbo kit.

I decided to turbo my dads honda for christmas because he was without it for almost 2 months and when he bought the car he said he felt it was lacking in the “oomph” department. so i figured that my next project would be for him. its a FANTASTiC car from the factory, but it was always the torque-less wonder. now it will be torque-less but fast.
here she is…parts pics will be coming up in a few minutes. install begins this weekend(just got my ARP headstuds in today and was waiting for everything to begin the project)
this is the most recent shot with the SSRs

i swear im having dejavu

:picard: I guess that’d God’s way of saying he hates ricers.

why is that?

YOU’LL SEE

VROOM VROOM!

(ninja matt would appreciate this)

i miss our shadow toda…my brother may be selling his 87 shelby soon…

Off the top of my head no cutting and hacking required for the ic pipe, Tial instead of turbosmart, oil filter relocation kit that does not leak.
I dont get why you paid to install another stock longblock when you were already spending a pretty penny. Probably ran low on funds? You should invest in stage 8 bolts so you don’t have to worry about nuts and bolts backing out.
How are you planning on passing inspection with the Aem? Do you have a tuner lined up?
Good luck with the build. We should do some pulls when your car is done.

How mad is your dad going to be if your X-mas present pops his new motor?

LOL if or when…

It will be cool to see how this stacks up to Smith’s car.

X…

I think if I blew my fathers motor I’d be getting a beating for an x-mas present

car is reg.'d in hotlanta and has no emissions/inspections…tuner will be inline pro. i was going to use Evanstuning but he is way booked.

used stock longblock with 46K miles was $3400 and a rebuild/build-up is 10K-30K depending upon parts/how in depth i wanted to go.

car will be conservative for my father at 340 or so whp. and will be ran like that most frequently. plan on getting a race-gas tune eventually.

even he let you race it regularly(SCCA, HPDEs, etc) and is aware of the consequences of such an action?

i paid for everything to be replaced and now to perform better, so he cant be THAT upset/angry/etc.

i cant imagine turbocharging my dads car…

why not just buy your own at this point?
