DIY InlinePro Turbo s2000(done, now w/vids./dyno graphs)

oh, and i also bought about 10 feet of gold heat barrier to control underhood temps. and for some baller factor

im sure your dad will love that…

what i cant believe is that you got michael jordan to help you put it together, youre the coolest guy evA!

lol. yes michael jordan certainly was a large help in this build. his expertise was truly valued

car is going to be tuned tomorrow by Jeff Evans(http://www.evans-tuning.com/)

car was on the dyno for a total of 45 min. on friday. Jeff was finishing up a car from the day before, but the good news is mine runs with no hiccups and is just waiting for him to get it on the dynojet this week.

car has a small coolant leak, other than that, the OFRK does not leak and the motor has no loud metal to metal noises coming from it.

keep this updated

will do. should have the car back from Jeff when i get out of work on friday. or sat. morning

Went up to the shop this weekend to fix a coolant leak at the IMG(i loctited the nuts/bolts for the intake mani and it does not leak anymore)
Also had to change the thermostat, since i fixed the leak i ran it for 15-20 min. and the thermo. wouldnt open. bought a new one and bled the system for like 25 min. and it wouldnt open either(called rich@swerve, and he told me to load the engine{drive it}) so i did, and it worked------thanks rich!)
car did not have heat until about 5 min. into the drive and when it started to blow hot air, i knew it opened. got out, checked the lower rad. hose and sure enough it was hot.
–continued to drive the car for another 45min.-an hour. filled it up with 93 and went back to the shop. only revved it to 4-4300rpm and it was GREAT! jeff put a really nice base tune in it for a great idle and lower rpm and it was great to drive it again. no more leaks, pulls full vac. no misfires or irregularities and should be done and ready to drive back to Hotlanta this weekend.

vids. pics. and dyno sheets to come

omfg omfg omfg omfg.

jeff just called me. car is done. picking it up tonight after work. highway pull vids/pics/dyno sheet tomorrow(no internet at home pwns me)

drove it home 78 miles last night. did lots of random puls, just to see how it drives and its amazing. perfect idle. perfect powerband. the car now has power. its above and beyond what i was expecting.
"It made 330whp/200TQ at 10 psi and 425whp/250TQ at 16-17 psi.
The AEM gauge is set up at 10 psi on the “A” setting, and 16-17 psi on the “B” setting.
The power output should have been much higher, but you have a cat in the exhaust. They are extremely hindering on s2000 engines (turbo), and it reflects in the power numbers. "

graphs/pics/vids coming in a bit.

and the first video…precision engineering turbos like to eat oil. mine is no exception. going to send it in for a rebuild in a few weeks…here she is:

i guess turbo s2000s are common, dumb and/or lame or something?

car made the 1600 mile trip to Atlanta with no issues whatsoever. consumed about 2 qts of oil the whole way down(and this was doing MANY full boost pulls/races) and about 8 trips up and back on Deal’s gap in 3rd gear(i ran it cleanly twice, with no interruptions in under 50 minutes—it was QUITE intense, fun and entertaining at the same time)

–car is now completely clean/detailed and setup in its final “setup” with full gold-leaf heat-shielding(around the turbo/exhaust manifold, the intercooler pipes and on the bumper in the back around the muffler) and other random mounts for coolant overflow and 3bar map sensor.

-------also bought a seibon CF hood with several vents to help dissipate the heat created by the radiator/turbo/exh. mani. will be installed in the next week or so
