If it goes above 30mph you NEED a class M

If the title says MOT you NEED a class M
If the title says LMB, LMC you DONT need a class M

Right. I said they don’t insure UNDER 50cc.

In fact, when I said “but mine is 49cc, what happens if it was 50cc?” she said they would insure it. but it’s not. It’s 49, hence, no Geico insurance.

does a pocket bike fall under the classification of a “moped”?

Moped has pedals.

those laws are a bit different than NC, so what I said earlier does not apply, because in NC you do not need to register it under a certain “mph”.

Ok well I said 49cc to the women and she didnt say anything about it. Technically its a 49cc engine on the YSR 50

Then you talked to an idiot, because I fought with them about it due to being a long time customer of theirs with car insurance, and she specifically stated they would not insure anything under 50cc, it’s company policy. Do if you lied and said it was 50cc, then they would insure it until their figured out it’s actually 49cc.

↑ We get it you sell scooters, I really doesn’t matter what you say or anyone else, I will take the DMV’s word tomorrow when I call. There is way to many opinions in here.

This will be settled tomorrow.

Not to be a dick but why did you start this thread knowing what kinda wide varity of anwsers you where going to get.

And you think people at the DMV know whats going on?

sean what is the answer…

i got 5 on you dont not need one

Trust me, I’ve got a Moped all registered and legal, folks at the DMV have no clue of the laws of the Moped. Technically all you need is a bill of sale to register it, and I even brought in my laptop showing them their own law on their website and they refused to register without a transferable registration from previous owner.

So I went to the Satellite office at the DMV and they registered it.

it’s all who you get.

But you ARE supposed to have a license.
