good luck at that price, they are going for way to much now with gas prices where they are at.
ya penfold ive def realized that, ive come up empty for anything that low
http://www.davesmotors.com/store/product2531.html how about one of these i have one you can buy i have like 300 dollars into the frame alone, custom paint, deck, fender, rims. All you need to do is buy a motor there like 200 bucks, i have an aftermarket pipe which was 100 bucks, i’ll let the frame go fer 200 with the pipe and everything. If u get this http://www.davesmotors.com/store/product2025.html plus my pipe it will go about 29-40mphs.
i thought to operate any 2-wheeled vehicle on any public road, you need a motorcycle license?
we have a scooter, little old Honda Elite, max’s out around 45MPH (depending on your weight) and is not thruway worthy by any means…and i’m pretty sure we had to get a license to ride it.
either way, you should get a motorcycle license…good just to have, and if you take the defensive riding class/course…it’s a 2 or 3 day weekend, you get your license, and 10% or so off car and bike insurance…so in one year of insurance savings the course pays for itself.
86maro nah i dont want that, i somethin more like the above link
90NA - yea ur def right, but if it goes up to 30mph only, u dont need a license, but yea it would be good to have, u know, when i UPGRADE TO MAXING OUT AT 45mph ! omg!
Nah, you just need a drivers license to operate a scooter.
You pay for the tags, and its around 70 bucks per year to insure a scooter.
You obviously can’t operate it on highways, just side streets.
you need a mcy license for anything over 50cc
no, NYS scooter laws are different from every other state (like everything else). The scooter’s top speed has to be 30mph on the dmv’s list.
I got sick of searching for a cheap scooter and just ended up buying this.
goes 30mph, gets 160-220mpg and you can pedal when you run out of gas. It is pretty fun too.
SWEET^
what size roller did you get?
Im debating on this:

rugsr those are awesome
I KNOW!
Im really debating right now!
Its $1400 and thats more…MORE then I want to spend but the price of old used ones ive seen($600 easy) I could spend $800 more. Have more hp speed and looks(haha right) and I know ill be happier.
Geico says $172 for the yr so $15 a month and when you cut the insurance for the winter you get the refund.
I could get a loan for it and it would be about $40 a month
So $55 a month which is about a weeks worth of gas in my civic.
Now, am I really saving money~~~this I have to decide!
If I did get it, were talking gloss black w/ a red scarf
I got the 1" roller. Top speed on level ground is 30-32mph with myself riding it (160lbs).
That is also with hybrid tires on my bike.
My roommate just bought a keeway hurricane from this website http://store.scootertronics.com/
Very satisfactory service! They shipped it in exactly the time they said they would (7 business days) and every scooter is free shipping to your door. They also seem to have the best prices I could find. Oh, and they even shipped it pretty much ready to ride. Just needed to put on the mirrors and hook up the battery and it was good to go. All fluids and gas were in it already.
I HIGHLY doubt it if you look at all costs and amount you’d actually ride it.
Interest on the loan, all the times you won’t take it because you need to take roads where 30mph would get you killed, or days it might rain and you don’t take it just to name a few.
EDIT:
And figure some dollar amount for the risk of serious injury or death considering your chances of getting hit increase dramatically when you can’t keep up with the flow of traffic even in 30-35mph zones since almost everyone is going 40ish.
i just want one to cruise around tonawanda, side streets and what not
