Dodge Vipers Being CRUSHED

This is why we can’t have nice things. #viper for @Final_GTS

… back in the 1990s, Chrysler donated several Dodge Vipers to educational programs nationwide for use in training programs. Think design classes, mechanics’ workshops, body shops, things of that nature…

… Sometime within the last 20 years, two of the educational-use vehicles were actually used on the road and were involved in accidents. The lawsuits brought forth from these accidents is now costing Fiat millions, so rather than take
the risk of more Viper-accident payouts, FCA has issued the death knell for the 91 remaining Vipers.

You really don’t need to use the @ paging for him. He magically appears in any thread where the word Viper is used.

And this whole thing is just another sad example of how desperately this country needs tort reform.

This just made my dick so hard

#loveit

Hard to watch, and I do not even particularly care for them…

Why not just part them out instead

Probably the same reason. “Totally unsupervised my kid put one of your donated V10 Viper motors in a go-cart then killed himself and 2 friends. Give me 10 million dollars since it’s your fault”.

wow thats sucks
Not a fan of dodge but always liked the viper

This. Plus, lawyers don’t understand “part out”. They understand the word destroy.

We had a viper and a ford lighting at ecc south. parking lot heaters and rippin laps around the building all day lol (they also got crushed)

I remember the viper at Ecc.

Fucking disgusting to watch. At minimum, those should’ve been made in-operable by parting out. A complete fucking waste on multiple levels. I fucking hate personal injury lawyers. And if there’s any on here…too bad. None of them do anything for any other motivation than money. And those who used them for uses other then intended should’ve been made responsible. As usual, no one takes responsibility for their actions and the public pays the price. This should def be moved to the bullshit thread.

I read this on Jalopnik this morning and couldn’t help but wonder if Chrysler/Fiat “selling” them and officially transferring ownership either as a vehicle or some other type of asset would alleviate their legal liabilities.

cant sell vehicles that don’t have VINs.

You know what I meant. Not as road legal vehicles, maybe as an educational asset or something.

SO wish someone would have got injured while filming the destruction of the car.

What a pickle they would be in if they said to destroy something without setting up a strict guideline on how to do it and someone got hurt and sued.

'Merica…yuck

but you can drive them illegally and then sue dodge

duhhhhhhhhhh… because 'murica. Someone takes a car out and crashes it… its clearly dodges fault for DONATING these cars for educational purposes… not the fault of the careless driver.

that said, i was both fully aroused and somewhat depressed by the videos… that was a first for me.

Any car used for educational purposes have to get crushed when they’re done being used for educational purposes. Think about it, would you really want to buy a car that kids who don’t know what the fuck they’re doing are taking apart and causing CELS on on purpose, I wouldn’t want even just the motor out of one of them.

Yeah, maybe so but I’m sure there’s a lot of it that could be utilized. How can you fuck up a door, wheel and tire, seat, etc. etc. I just see it as horribly wasteful in an already wasteful society. I recycle my sig daily.
