I got fruity loops a while back to make that rap song, (which the music is nearing completion), but i have been listening to alot of her space holiday and XOXOPanda and I was really feeling the mellow electronic music thing, so on sunday, I gave it a shot. It’s about 3 hours of work.
my fiances brother makes shit on his Computer…he has all the MAC music making stuff and he plays guitar if needed…he also shoots music videos so when ur ready for ur first video i got ya
it’s much easier if you pair something like fruity loops up with a more studio style software, i.e. anything from Cakewalk. I like Guitar Tracks Pro. I think it goes up to 32 digital tracks, with a full mixer and alot of sound engineering options to tweek, giving you alot more freedom to do different things.
I’ve got GTP on CD if you’re interested. If i knew you could install it on as many computers as you wanted to I wouldn’t have paid for the damn thing.
i agree that it does sound a bit too digital, and have decided that the organ-y sound is what’s giving it that feel. I really want to replace it with a violin, but as of yet, cannot find something that has a good violin sound. I downloaded a bunch of violin samples, but they don’t seem to play well.
Record sound files of every piece of your kit (ex. snare, hihat, kick, etc.) and put appropriate file names to them. You can then import these sound files into Fruity Loops.
Im sure you can find generic drum sounds online too, that would probably be much easier.
(I’m pulling an all nighter so this may or may not make sense)
I don’t have the rescources to record the real thing. I can play drums and guitar, and i could play that on piano, but i don’t have the input means… by any means.
the drums that i have samples of are tight. It’s things like the violin and the piano that i’d like to be clearer…
Sounds a lot like the old MIDI stuff I played with back when I first got my AWE32. Might still have some piano samples on floppy, but I believe it was recorded at 22KHz so it’s probably of the same if not worse quality. I’ll dig them out in the morning and see what I find.
i made this about 3 years ago. I made this up in about 20 minutes, and when i uploaed it, the timing got cut up a bit. so i know its off.no computers on here. i have a ton of computer shit if you want to jam fagorz.
i use to make techno music when i was in the 9th grade, i sold a few cd’s to my friends lol. but i have not done it since then; would not mind gettin back into it thought. i have one song from back then it was my fav, but i dont really like the beginning or the end though.
