Because Karter doesn’t realize that hitting on the corner of a car that is being crossed by a vehicle that gets hit right at the strongest point in the chassis is going to offset the damage to the vehicle that gets smacked in the impact zone that’s meant to collapse.

theres a reason for that. these cars are known to lose structural integrity at the mounts for the front subframe. even a car that is overall very clean will rot and tear at the mounts, and the car will actually flex up and down at that mount point or shift. the car in the video is most likely not an “alignment” issue but the whole front subframe probably shifted.
