No I would probably call the police/take it to the vet. Let me phrase it a different way. If somebody broke into your house would you let them stab your wife or one of your anilmals before you shot them? Personally I wouldn’t given them the chance somebody breaking into my place they are getting a gut full of buckshot no questions asked and deal with the legal ramifications later. I don’t draw a distinction between that scenario and that of a uncontrolled animal coming on my property and trying to injur my dog/faimly members. You are more than intitaled to your view, but as Adam stated you really don’t have the right to tell the rest of us what to do. Also before you go saying I’m a pit/bully breed hater 2 years ago I rescued my neighbors 60 pound pit out of the street when it got out of her yard. Didn’t know the dog, but didn’t want it to get run over since it was out in traffic almost getting killed.
