DoubleDown's 240SX

Someone took a picture of it last night at the 780Tuners meet, so I figured I’d make my contribution to this forum.

Nice FMIC  Looking good.

Someone said you were having cooling problems with the car? Do you know what’s wrong?

Yeah, the intercooler is hogging all the outside air, as you can see, so it starts heating up in heavy traffic. I want it to stay as stock looking as possible, so a bigger mouth or hood vents are out of the question. I decided to go with a dual core aluminum radiator. It’ll turn out to be a tad more expensive (It’s not a drop-in replacement), but it’ll keep it looking nice and stock the way I want it.

Sounds interesting… how long until your problem is fixed?

Not long… should be installed by tomorrow or Friday. I ride the shame train to work anyway (crime in downtown parking lots sucks), so it’s not a huge pain in the ass or anything.

Koyo rad?

Very slick lookin car by the way, hope to see ya at the next meet.

Nice lookin car man

nice clean 240

The dude hosting the last pic took it down, so here’s another couple

Did you beat that skyline? I love the sleeper look

Yeah, he did. I don’t think that Skyline even cracked into a 13’s. I think a 14.3x was the best. Not sure. Had an RB25 in it, so I would have thought that it was faster.

Loven the front bumper yo

Haha, it’s all about the ghetto air dam.

My 60 foot times were 2.5 seconds no matter what i did (my tires were gone). The RB25’s are rated at 250HP stock and im not much above that, the car weighs 3000 pounds. It still has the stock downpipe and cat which i think are holding it back a lot. Ill be 12’s this spring…
