downloading now. 2.44gb, but 4k+ seeders. lets see how fast this will go
Downloading the torrent now…Doesn’t the ISO on the torrent need a key though?
This torrent is slowwww
Sure is nice to upload at 1.5MB and download at 304kB…
ill wait for the MS servers tomorrow…i love downloading shit from them
MSDN was flying earlier today. I hear it’s slowed down since and they’re having issues generating keys.
Ugh I really need to turn up our peering with timewarner.
Can’t even get on the website.
wtf why is this site so fucking slow.
every nerd around has got a hard on for windows 7 and is trying to try it out.
We have it on a VMware server. We will be upgrading that probably next year. I want to see it in a normal install on a PC just to see more realistic performance on it. On the server I know its i/o on the hard drive is going to be well above what it normally would be. I also don’t want to confuse any instabilities with the OS as a result of some incompatibility with 7 and VMware.
One complaint, I understand why it exists the way it does. I know this is going to be the OS designed with touch screens in mind. But the size of the pinned icons is rediculous. they take up twice the space they need to. If you are going to be tapping links on a web page, I would hope you could touch a 1/4" by 1/4" square.
Something I don’t quite understand is why the pinned icons open where they are pinned. So if you need to open a second instance of that application you need to go through the start menu or desktop anyway.
Usenet FTW! Capping out my DSL modem at my house at the moment downloading.
poop…the two different ones i downloaded would not installed correctly. guess i’ll just wait until tomorrow.
I wouldn’t recommend installing an early beta release of an operating system as your only OS. This is more for people who set up a second partition and dual boot to try the new toy.
Anyways, it feels like just yesterday that I was installing an early alpha release of longhorn, and black comb was just a shadowy idea floating around. Ahh memories.
GOD YOU ARE A NERD.
I remember using Vista way back in ought-two when it was an alpha release code named longhorn and it was just xp with a theme and an instability patch and I had to walk to school up hill both ways.
I switched to XP about a month before it was released and thought it was the neatest thing ever. Then I installed like 3 different alpha releases of longhorn, then got pissed that they changed its cool name and am planning on boycotting it.
IB4OMGITCRASHED
installing it now knock on wood
Peering is the bomb.
thankx
so far I really like it  the new features are well thought out for the most part, and it runs great.
feels a lot like vista
