ya man I just rewelded the manifold and put some braces on the runners and turbo flange for some added protection

How much psi did you run on your first setup ($650 setup) and did it run well?

o fack i think he ran 10 psi originally, then he went to 5 psi…not positive on it.
im going to guess over 200 xxx??

I heard 5-7 psi is a safe number on a high miler if the compression is good.
5-7 psi is generally stock boost on turboed cars, cant get it much lower than that.
make sure you have a good tune for it and use good gas.
where are you getting your information from?
I did alot of reading on ka-t.org.
Money allowing (hard to do with 3 kids), I would like to turbo the sohc if the compression checked out ok. Just been gathering as much info from different setups, how it ran and for how long etc. I believe you can do a mild setup up 5 si and get away with no intercooler, but you’ll need one for anything above that I thought. (didn’t mean to hijack a thread here

lol man there are alot of things id do differently.
first dont make a manifold out exhaust tubing. you will be welding after every night of drifting.
secondly use greddy e manage.
