well who chipped the ecu? is it zif socketed? like can u just pop in another chip or you gotta sater it out?
Dizzy can only pull 5deg at 15 psi u wanna pull min of 7. And if your ecu has “powerchip” or jwt i bet ur motor is just pinging aroundish 3000rpm.

Wow. Thanks nismo. I didnt know, Actually its from ebay, its an interchangable chip, but i didnt have the socket to unplug/plug in chips. So One of the electricians I know solder sucked it and we resoldered it in.

so ill need a retard of 5 on a chip, with 2 degres of distibuter timing? is that what your saying?
So, if Dizzy can reflash a rom chip, could he also compensate for bigger injectors? As I have 550’s in a ka24e, and the Oem is 260 which is a 53% difference and the safc II can only compensate for -50% leaving 3% of correction untouched

Could Dizzy make a flash with 440 cc’s and 5 deg retard? you know just for an easy tune?

well any ecu chip can be burned to support injectors up to 1600cc and mafs like z32 etc.
and timing wise u don’t even touch dizzy u just pull x degrees right from timing map same with fueling. cost depends if yu do it yourself or not.

OMG thats awsome! hahahaha omg Dan thats sweet, ya actually I used to own that car, in fact it used to supply parts for this ka24e-t but no thats not it, the person who owns it now traded me a 135 xxx km 1985 rx7 for that 89 230 xxx km 240 HB. fair trade I think.

But for an update on the drifter, Apex modified is supplying me with a cometic head gasket, and ARP head studs.

Also, my Racing seats are going in probebly saturday or sunday, and at the same time I am going to rip that head off and send it out

sounds like a good trade… I used to have a FC TII convert I loved it. sold it for a down payment on our house though

i was parked in brentwood last weekend and a guy in a white 240 hatch was checkin out my car as he parked… was it any of you guys?

Parts are FINALLY in today, it is now officially our cars slave labor day.

Head gasket, studs, clutch, new ebrake cables, rear pads.

Alright, after a long stressful month of part hunting were all done the engine as of putting the head back on today and finishing the engine bay completely!

OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOK Tomorrow is drift day at castrol and it has been crunch time for like 2 weeks.
Theres a fucking huge story behind this car and the parts that i ordered.
it all begins when I blew the Head gasket, now this happened like almost 2 and a half months ago, at which time we went straight to apex modified and ordered a ka24de cometic and ka24de arp head studs.
So as time went on we waited, and waited, and waited, and waited…and waited…and waited some more… and then finally. they were supposed to be in…a month and a half late…but no, they where lost on order somewhere…AGIAN…soooooo needless to say we waited.

FINALLY the arp studs came in, and in the mean time, while we were WAITING for our parts to come in, we ripped off the head that it plained, ripped off all the erg shit, and put in a 6 puck stage 4 clutch.

I had a sneaking suspision the studs wouldnt fit, and I thought my parts where never going to come in, so I went to my work and had my parts guy order me up some oem nissan factory gasket sets.

when we got home with our very late arp studs we went straight to work. we had everything ready to go, and as we where putting all back together, the ka24de studs DID NOT FIT! :reddot:

We stood back and was like… :axe: “what the fuck. over.”

we made a pretty quick decision to put the origonal bolts back in. O fuck right?
well I dunno what will happen but it works.

That night we completely finished off everything in the engine bay and called her a night.

when all of this stuff was happening I also shipped off my ecu to get it chipped with a proper tune. (thanks agian Denis).
but I guess when it was being put in somthing kinda fucked up and the ecu is all wonky. it could have been my electrical in the cab cuz it was kinda fucked up.

So I grabbed an ecu out of that black 240 in mills haven you guys where talking about(my old parts car)
and she fired right up!!! wooooooooooooooooot :cheer:

so now we are just waiting on the properly tuned ecu to come back and drive her today.

soooo wait makes this all fucked up is that fact that, all this car has been made to do is drift in the may10th drift day at castrol race way. annnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnd its tommorow…soo if the ecu doesnt work. then im going to kill my self and drift with a factory tuned ecu and blow it up agian… hahahahaha and then once its dead make the neccecary provisions so that ka24de studs and HG will work.

Hey guys, just a little up date on this drifter hahahaha
So today we finished her up, Put the new engine in, along with a new tranny.
and to top her all off, we painted her RATTLE CAN FLAT BLACK!!! :smiley:
hahahahaha actually it looks not bad…for flat black…?
anyway ill FINALLY get to drift this season at least once!
