DRIFT OPS 2008 - Your exclusive road to Castrol DMCC Pro Drifting

It’s been a long and cold winter season and we’re sure all of you are itching to get out onto the track for 2008. Drift Ops is very happy to inform you that there will be an abundance of opportunity for grassroots motorsports in Ontario this year! With our jam-packed schedule of open lapping/time attack, Drift 101 Instructional Classes, Advanced Drift Instruction Classes and PRO AM Series Competition Drifting, there will be many opportunities to get on the asphalt this season.

We are very pleased to announce the following 3 programs for Drifting in Ontario:

  1. New drivers wanting to learn core drifting techniques will be able to attend our instructional ‘Drift 101’ classes designed to teach the basics of Drifting. These classes will consist of basic exercises that will turn any novice driver into a Drifter in no time.

  2. For the more seasoned drifter, Drift Ops will be holding fully instructed ‘Advanced Drifting’ classes to help drifters develop and perfect the advanced skills required for competition level drifting.

  3. NEW for 2008 will be the ‘Drift Ops PRO AM Drifting Series’!

Drift Ops will be the ONLY series in Ontario awarding official Castrol DMCC Professional Drifting Series licenses.
There will be a limited amount of these competition licenses awarded to the top ranking drifters in Ontario.

Additional details regarding the ‘Drift 101 Classes’, ‘Advanced Drifting Classes’ and the ‘Drift Ops PRO AM Drifting Series’ will be released in the coming weeks.

In support of these 3 new programs for 2008, Drift Ops will be working closely with various organizations. Ontario motorsport industry leaders such as Bings.ca, Son240sx, Onyx Syndicate, Sweetie Girl Racing, Wheels Direct, Point Zero and Intense Motorsports to name a few will be on board to make this season a landmark in Canadian Drifting.

From novice drifter to Pro AM to full on Pro Drift Competition licensing, Drift Ops has the right program for you!

We look forward to seeing all drifters and fans of drifting at the track this year!

Any sort of car Requirements for Pro Am, such as a roll cage and all those wonderful things?

PRO AM has no cage requirements like the Professional series. A cage is recommended since you will need it for Formula D or DMCC but its not necessary. We will have registration open within the next week, pay your season’s pass and get ready to drive.

We will have delayed tandem, Formula D judging/scoring and national ranking system in Canada. You will be put up against the best in West and East

Should be a sick season

^^ iirc, the Pro-Am series does not need all that safety stuff because it is the stepping stone to get into the professional level.

can’t wait to see what you guys have planned for everyone, hopefully this season will be promising!

GO DRIFTOPS!

edit: Kendrick beat me to it

Love u DucJAI!

This stuff sounds awsome, definnetly taken a step up from last year, wouldnt mind taking some of the advanced drifting lessons…why not haha.

Exactly…why not. Summer is getting here fast, lock in your dates and save some money during pre-registration. Our registration form will be online later this week.

BTW try to be accurate in filling out the form, we will be using this info for a drivers bio section soon

Drift Ops will be present at Performance World/Darknights this weekend!
