UPDATE

INSTRUCTORS
There are more and more newbies coming out these days which is fantastic! Just so you all know, we have experienced instructors on hand for anyone looking for beginner and advanced training. Just come see me and I will hook you up with someone.

TECH INSPECTIONS

Also, we will be doing tech inspections of all vehicles before they will be allowed on the track.
This should not be something to worry about because all of your cars are safe and well maintained to begin with… right??!
We’re really just checking for leaks and loose objects. The last thing we need is to have:

  • shit leaking all over the track
  • cars burning because they left their gas can inside
  • wheels falling off
  • hatches falling off

TIMING

Again, I would like to have all drivers at the track and ready by 8:30am for the drivers meeting and make full use of the track time.

END COMMUNICATION

Alright guys, everyone has been bugging me and asking me, “When’s the next day?” “Can we have Fabi?” “Saturday or Sunday?” “Seriously, when’s the next day???”

So this final installment of the DriftOps 2011 season will be a special one. DriftOps has experienced such overwhelming support this season that it has been decided that the final event will be deemed the “Driver Appreciation Day”. And as a special treat, drivers who have been calling “Fabi” will get what they’ve been asking for! On this day we will be running Fabi and Nelson layouts. That’s right, DriftOps has decided to book all of Shannonville Motorsports Park and open both layouts simultaneously as a thank you for all the support that we’ve received this year.

What: DRIFTING, DRIFTING, lapping, and DRIFTING!
When: Sunday, Oct. 30, 2011
Time: 8:30am - 5pm
Where: Shannonville Motorsports Park : Nelson, Fabi and Full!
Cost: $150 prepaid , $175 at the track
*helmets are mandatory

Once again, there will be a tire changer at the track!

I would like to have all drivers at the track by 8:30am for a drivers meeting. This will be a double track event, so we have a lot of rules and stuff to go over for all drivers.

BAMMMMM im bringing 30 tires this time around, going to make it count

Oh my eff, this is gonna be nuts!!

Pre-pay, Pre-pay, Pre-pay, Pre-pay! tell your friends, sell your sisters just get the word out!

Full track Ninjas! Not fucking playing around.

100% in. Whats the dealine for prepay?

DAMN son!!!

Driftops and Coolkids does it up big! Haven’t had a full track day in 3 years, this is going to be EPICCCCCCC!

If anyone has drifted full track, you know you’re going to go through a SHITLOAD of tires. Get those tires ready!!!

how is this split track mumbo jumbo going to work? do we have choice of what track we want, all day? or is it time designated… very curious this vs. peters track day

EPIC!!! this > peter’s track day for sure!! FABI & NELSON & FULL TRACK?!?!! EPICNESS!

I imagine both tracks will be open simultaneously, you will transition from one track to another via flagged infield if/when you get bored.

wouldnt it be better just to have someone working the fabi pit exit? instead of cars staging in the middle of either track?

and then at some point in the day run either the long or pro layout…

^^^
We can leave the layout decision for Wayne to decide, but as a matter of practicality, it’d be easier to run 1 pit and not have cars drive around the entire track. You could have 2 points at which to change track, one at either end of Nelson so that Fabi guys can hit nelson pits quickly. Tire changer will be located on Nelson side, and unless everyone is running BRAND NEW tires, i cant imagine tires lasting the entire track for repeated laps if someone is going hard. This will simplify and facilitate anyone who finishes their tire in the middle of fabi to make it to the central pits on Nelson side.

YOU KNOW HOW WE ROLL!!! PRE PAY WORKS BEST!!!

Forgive me if you’ve already seen this, I’m just trying to decide whether or not I should attempt to sign up for a day of carnage for a complete and utter noob
What I have:
S14 with: Stock KA24DE (intake lol)[questionable mileage, burns oil, tranny grinds] clutch is in decent condition, lowered on 11 yr old Teins (rear shocks done), stock suspension arms not sure how much negative camber I’m running but it’s noticeable?, Z32 brakes all around with working e-brake (Hawk HP+ & EBC GD slotted dimpled rotors).
The other thing is, whoever owned this car at one point (I’m the 8th owner) hacked in a sunroof O_O and took out the reinforcement bar on the roof that is between the b-pillars.

I don’t want to do anymore hooning around on streets(in mexico) or at least stay away from it and hit the track. But should I even try to hit the track to drift with such a pos? =P (picked up the car for summer job, I’ve owned it since May this year)

Thanks,
SON!
