Driving in Flip-Flops

I do this too.

I don’t own flip-flops.

If you are a guy you shouldn’t own flip flops.

Word, same here pretty much.

Any sports car? No

Anything else is ok as long as I feel safe doing it.

“Girl footwear” that is incredibly comfortable and useful. I play beach vBall 4 days a week. putting shoes on and off for that would be fucking retarded. Do I wear sneakers out or to the mall? No. just when the situation calls for it.

Plus : Fresh Tan feet > Stinky pale feet.

But in the end, it’s only footwear. Get over it.

you mad?

No sports car?!?!?! I LOVED driving my Firebird in bare feet or with just socks on; I had so much better feel of all 3 pedals and could wrap my toes around the pedals for more control than if I were in shoes.

Driving in socks sounds like a ridiculously unsafe way to drive.

THIS.

I perfer toe armor. Ever stub your toe? hurts a fuck ton less in shoes / boots. Dropped a can or a tool ? had your foot stepped on? toes stepped on?

Back of your heel stepped on by the dumb ass broad you brought to the store with you, who wont stop fucking texting, so all you want to do is walk her straight tword a fountain.

Flip flops, sandles, mandles, are gay and belong on the “fresh coast”

lol. How could I be mad with such comfortable feet?

lol @ the sandal hate from the “I’m too manly for that” crew.

If I’m headed somewhere wearing flip flops, I kick them off and drive barefoot.

A lot of Esprit guys drive barefoot, due to the pedalbox being smaller. Not me though…

Summer time If I have flip flops or boat shoes on they almost ALWAYS come off to drive barefoot, Just personal preference.

The only time I wear shoes in the summer is to work or when running. Most of the time it’s flippies or those adidas shower sandals; and I drive in them with no issues.

rainbows are the bomb…more or less the only flip flop i’ll wear

If I feel unsafe driving with them, I’ll just kick them off

I’m not going to sit here and read through all this nonsense. I feel the same way as Paulo on this.

forgot to mention my fiancee drives manual cars (either my mazdaspeed or her civic) with some sort of sandal flip flop and never has an issue…I think she kicks them off depending on what pair they are though.

The incident in the OP is likely just a freak/one-off accident.

Everyone keeps saying driving barefoot is illegal, but are you sure? I’ve read the NYS VAT before and don’t remember seeing anything about a footwear requirement.
