I agree i drive with my whole arm resting on the window sill while having my hand on the steering wheel.
I need to get some airflow down my shirt, so I do a window sil rest with my hand directing air inside while driving so the black leathers don’t roast me. If I don’t do this the air sort of comes in and does a whole lot of nothing. The hot air just sits behind me, with no escape.
Most of the time my arm is out the window. Cause i sweat so much, the breeze also keeps me cool.
This poll is a tight one
I can understand the functional use of the pillar hold to get air into the car, however the downward fist directs no air in and only cools your arm. But I guess if you’ve just left the gym and need to cool down your left bicept like a real life Rat Fink, it could be of some use.

Or when the Airbag goes off and turns her into a pretzel.
I saw a guy hanging out of the passenger window this weekend. I couldn’t get a picture though. He needed a cigarette so bad that half of his body was slumped out the car that he was obviously not allowed to smoke in.
Climate control ftw. Never say never but, I would never buy/drive a car without ac. My windows are open more in the winter than summer. lol
My car has no AC at the moment, but I keep my limbs inside da whip.
The funny’s at 0:38.
I almost never hang my arm out, but I like driving with my elbow on the door. It’s just a comfortable spot for it. That’s also only in the 60-80ish degree range. Anything above/below and it’s climate control time.
i have a/c, but choose not to use it. it’s summer. i usually have the windows down, right elbow may be out or in the car, but definitely not resting on the outside of the door. my car is always too dirty for that.
This.
Pillar-grabbin’ is where it’s at.
I caught myself doing the “hitler” a few times in my vert. It’s where I put if straight forward and rest in on the side mirror.
i rest my arm on the window sill, have the window open even if ac is on because the breeze is nice…on the thruway though windows are almost always closed, wind noise is a bit too much at higher speeds
I’m guilty of the downward fist quite often
me too…
I totally do both on a regular in my truck. but that’s because it’s automatic. In the focus I totally do the rest-elbow-on-window-sill-while-steering mentioned earlier as it’s a comfortable height to have my arm
having no ac, my arm is out the window 24/7. arm down, hand up. every style. gotta angle it right to get the wind to blow into my shirt too. i don’t care if it’s cool or lame, i need some air flow.
