what are some options you need/ want on your automobile?

I have to have:
leather
heated seats/mirrors

Features I wish all automobiles had:
right side mirror tilting down while in reverse
auto diming side mirriors
red gauges
push button start

what are some others?

I dont understand the red gauges? What is the need there?

i :heart: red gauges/ lights on the dash board. seems more “soothing” while driving at night.

got to have the power windows/seats, I like the aux plug that some cars are coming with.

I wish all cars came with drunken cougars.

Auto-Dimming mirrors

Cupholders with the little rubber feet that hold your drink in place.
Trip computer and/or GPS
Power windows/locks
Light on the dashboard that says power in green when ever you get on it.

i also like how suv’s are coming with built in power inverters…

I guess i don’t really need anything. Althought I have grown quite fond of automatic transmissions. I can smoke/eat/drink/drive and do my taxes all at the same time.

i’m a big fan of “one touch” power windows, heated mirrors are a plus in winter too

While i appreciate many of the modern amenities, I really don’t “need” anything other than a working/driving car… I like power windows, though. And a working radio…

power windows & locks, good stereo system, and since I have a prescription, as many layers of tint I can put on before it’s hard to see out. That’s really all I need I guess.

Radio controls on the steering wheel. Now that I have them, I hate driving cars that don’t.

I do like the heated windshield, mirrors, seats, rear seats and steering wheel in the truck. I like that my mirror tips down in reverse to park. Back up sensors are nice…

But all told, it’s just a bunch of “nice features”… nothing i NEED, nor anything that would sway my purchase of a car…

I never use the navigation (i never even put the CD in).

Must have:
Power windows, keyless entry, cruise, manual trans for me, auto for the wife, decent power.

Like to have:
CD changer, leather, power pedals, power seats, ipod integration, remote start, heated seats, stability control/traction control if it can be turned off, One touch windows, auto headlights, auto dimming mirror.

Don’t give a shit about:
Push button starters, Homelink, Bluetooth, heated mirrors (have them on the truck and almost never use them), multizone heating/cooling, E85 ability.

Would prevent me from buying:
Stability control/traction control that can’t be disabled, underpowered POS’s, auto trans for me, manual trans for the wife.

Ugh I hate car mirrors that tilt down when put in reverse…maybe its just because I am tall that when I look in my side mirrors I can see the pavement/ground. It might be different with a truck though…

word. stability control is great, except when you want to rip around and not have the car tell you how to drive.
