dsl service ready date?

So I just moved to lockport for now.

One of the first thing I did was order verizon dsl, on the 15th.

I just received the box of self install parts in the mail today.

I rip it open, it says don’t install this until your service ready date. Your line still may not qualify for dsl.

So I go online, the service ready date is the 9th of september.

Did it take this long for anyone else?

Mine was about the same from what I remember. They had to go out to the pole and install a filter.
