550s would be fine, unless you’re planning on upgrading the turbo sometime in the future(FIC’s). i have no idea what a 255high pressure pump is. but im sure ull be fine with either of the 255s

If I was you I wouldn’t order that kit, imo wouldn’t use a neo for tuning. Dsmlink has become affordable.

If your gonna be going with 550’s for injectors just get a walbro 190 and rewire it. You will not need an afpr, unless you get a walbro 255.

Complete waste for what you are going for imo. If you are running pump, just use evo 8 injectors and an evo fuel pump and spend the saved money on ecmlink. No matter what, stay away from using a safcI/II/neo/etc. Like Ali said, the price difference is very small now.

im gonna take his post one further, and suggest an evo8 ecu swap…get the ecu for ~100$ shipped, the tactrix 1.3u cable for about 100$ shipped, and imo have the same functionality…id even be willing to help you out with the install and give you my rom files i used for essentially the same setup your looking at.

As for the fuel pump, if you go with the 255 you will need to buy an AFPR. While i know some people have ran it with the stock one fine, on those small injectors it will cause an idle issue. Also, the ‘255 HP’ one is a litle bit better then the standard 255 one but for your purposes, its not going to really anything noticeable.

The injectors…id suggest going 650’s as the smallest just to kind of ‘future proof’ your setup.

so if you go the evo ecu route, your looking at 200, get the fuel pump off ebay for like 85, a fuel pump rewire kit (unless you have the parts or diy it like i did), get an afpr, and then some injectors for the rest, and go out and have dinner on the difference lol.

best bet would be to check out evolutionm.net. ive bought everythign your looking at from that site, and paid a lot less then a dsm site. Also, for the fuel pump id say get a new one since its kind of a pita to replace. (imo it is)

how much boost do you plan on running?

I have a 255 h.p. pump and my 550 cc injectors were at 135 percent duty cycle anything over 20 psi.

im running the 255 h.p. and 1000 cc injectors now at 25-26 psi and i believe i was around 80-85 percent cycle. Also try and find some used parts i paid 50 for my pump. 300 for my injectors and 250 for dsmlink much more tunable then that kit.

i have 550’s u can buy cheap from me if thats what you want but i wouldnt recommend them.

Im not sure how much boost i want to run. Im def gonna get dsm link tho. I also found a guy on the boards that has rc550’s for me for a great price. Like ali said i may just get the 190 and do the re-wire. Im just getting some figures together to fullfill my budget.

Tom u know that wont work. That pump and those injectors wont be enough unless staying at low boost. With a small Turbo this car will be prone to boost creep. Given we don’t know if or what Cams are in it. But in my opinion this will not be enough fuel to make any kind of significant power. OP if you have any goals of making good power and not running dangerous duty cycles I would get a professional opinion. Upstate eclipse knows his shit. You can take advice from him. The rest of us are speaking from experience on personal cars. Also who’s tuning it. I would ask them

550s could work not the ones i would pick but they will work for cheap. you could get about 20ish psi out of them. i have had this talk with gary many times lol. pretty sure joe will be happy with 20ish psi on his 16g and im pretty sure he has no cams.

Lol, 550’s will work. I mean if you get link you can go higher with injector size which would be a good idea too, like maybe 650’s. Try to find the best deal, with good seller.

not that i recommend it at all…but when i bought my car i was told there were 650cc injectors in it, when it turns out they were the stock ones.

I was running a small 16g at 20psi on a 255 and 450cc injectors…and my afr’s were perfect (11:1). I did have to take some timing out, but i was also running the stock SMIC.

On that, while 550’s will work, you wont be happy with 20psi once you see how easy it would be to turn the boost up to say 25 psi. With injectors get the largest you can afford…for the most part the ecu can tune them down so you have the fuel available if ever needed.

Like i said in a post above browse evom. I got a set of PTE 880cc injectors that are working perfect for 175$ shipped, and that’s just what the seller was asking. I also picked up a set of 1600 Bosch/ford injectors that will be going in another car for 200$ shipped, but dont get those, especially if you plan on really dd’ing the car.

Yep i have stock cams for now, that might be for next summer lol. If i were to have anyone tune the car, it would be burch for sure… That also depends on his schedule, I know he is a very busy guy. I wouldnt schedule an appt until i get everything i need. My friend told me he has 650cc or 680cc injectors and a 190 fp for a very low price with under 500 miles. I really dont like used parts but, i cant pass it up for the price. I might start a builld thread to show everyone my progress. My major issue is to get the car painted…
