63,xxx miles needs timing belt put in. has good tire and brakes Needs pass window lock switch put in(have it but not installed yet) lock button not working on that side,
pittfalls for that year ? what years crank walk, have trans trouble ect
okay so you mean it will resale high then , right??
if i get this car for 8000-8500 im doing good then?
im looking at this pretty sreiously, however if anyone wants to get this car pm me and ill get you the guys number.
crankwalk affected all 2g years but it’s a random thing it’s not that every car gets it, you just gotta have bad luck to get it. 2g 5spd trannies only downfall is the center diff the trannies are built rather well with double banded 1-2 and 2-3 gears.
i doubt you’d get it for that…people know that kids are looking for these things now, hell jackie paid 9 for hers and it’s a 97. you’d be lucky to get it off that kid for under 10 i bet
i liked it, Like matt said.
The window and the arm level takes a while to get used to.
also matt drove like granny, im sure the wifey drove the same as well
Sorry man, i disagree. why would you buy a car that expensive that you know is going to need a motor put into it. If youre gonna go that route, buy a 2g that has a blown motor or a flood car and save yourself tons of cash.
maybe because crankwalk affects 2% of all the turbo dsms produced from 95-99…but apparently u know this motor in the car he’s buying is walking, i’d like to have your talents i’d be rich.
I know what you’re saying, but like bluemeanie said, it doesn’t affect every single car. You’re taking a chance with something major going wrong with every car you buy. And, if you look around, you can pick up a 6-bolt short block cheap, or, even better, buy one with nothing in it and build it :blue:
Oh, is that why you have a 6 bolt in your car? :stupid:
I had a 97 Eclipse GS-T that walked on me at 40,000 miles… I changed the oil every 2500 miles. Its an engineering flaw, given enough time i bet all 7 bolts will walk.
no i spun a rod bearing…140k miles on that motor no wear on the thrust bearing. :kekegay:

no it affected 2% of all the cars produced, if a cars going to walk it will walk but not all of them, mine didn’t, jackies has over 110k on it it’s not walking (according to endplay anyway)
