I think NYSpeed is mostly OT because those that are working on cars and such are busy doing just that.

Its not like the old ubrf days when everything seemed new, and people did not have endless forums, FAQ’s, and the availability of bolt on parts.

I still remember going to bubble tea with my car running like crap to see if anyone could help.

A bunch of guys came over, looked at it, and had no clue about turbo cars, so I got back in and left.

I think this forum is great, it def. helps the day pass by at work and there are a lot of funny people on here. It would be nice to see more talk about cars and modding though. But as of right now…no matter where the forum stands I’ll still log on…NYspeed…it’s one hell of a drug.

I’m really blown away at where this forum has ended up. It was started with the intent of righting the wrongs of other local forums, and making it about the cars, meets, and people again. It has strayed so far from that, it’s unbelievable. It doesn’t even bother me so much anymore, bec. it’s progessively becoming something I have less and less time for these days, but jesus…karma? For real?

this site hit the toilet when the average maturity level of the members is being surpassed by thier kids.
I like offtopic, but peoples inability to control themselves in offtopic is ridiculous.
I like to crack jokes with the best of them, but when someone makes a post and 20 people come into it and totally ruin it with retarded shit, it totally takes away from the forum.
I blame everyone equally, but it seems that the people who get bagged on the most are some of the best members.

They’re not loosing their interest in cars. The forum just isn’t evolving enough to keep them interested our around. They’re outgrowing this forum, not the automotive hobby…

The forum itself is just a tool for the people who use it.
